A small business website built by a Singapore agency usually costs S$3,000 to S$8,000, and a basic three-to-five-page site can start around S$1,500. Online stores and custom builds cost more. Those ranges come from seven Singapore price guides we read on 27 September 2026, listed at the end.

The build is only part of the bill. A domain, hosting and someone to keep the site updated cost money every year, and most quotes leave them out.

Website prices in Singapore by type

Type of websiteWhat most Singapore guides quote (SGD)
Basic site, 3 to 8 pages1,500 to 5,000
Small business site, 5 to 20 pages with a CMS3,000 to 8,000
Corporate site7,000 to 15,000 and up
Online store6,000 to 30,000
Custom web app15,000 to 50,000 and up
DIY website builderA few hundred a year

The guides agree on the shape and disagree on the numbers. For a small business site, quotes ran from S$1,500 to S$5,000 at one agency to S$4,000 to S$12,000 at another.

What moves the price

Several guides price by the number of unique page layouts, not the page count. Ten pages that share one layout take less design work than ten each designed from scratch.

Custom design costs more than a template. One guide puts custom design at S$2,000 to S$10,000 on top of the build.

Features add cost one by one: bookings, a shopping cart and payments, member logins, a second language, a CRM connection. A payment gateway alone adds S$500 to S$2,000 in one guide’s estimate.

Content is often the forgotten line. Copywriting runs about S$100 to S$300 a page in the guides that price it, and a photo shoot is extra again.

Who builds it matters most. Freelancers usually quote less than agencies for the same brief, and a full-service agency quotes the most.

Agency, freelancer or website builder

Who builds itSmall business site (SGD)Online store (SGD)
Website builder you set up yourselfAbout 150 to 800 a yearBuilder plans from about 21 a month
Freelancer1,000 to 3,0003,000 to 10,000
Small agency2,500 to 6,0006,000 to 20,000
Full-service agency5,000 to 25,000 and up12,000 to 40,000 and up

A builder is cheapest and fine for a simple site you’ll maintain yourself. A freelancer suits a clear, small brief. An agency makes sense when you need design, copy, SEO and support from one place, or when the site has to connect to other systems.

What to send an agency for a useful quote

A vague brief gets a vague price. Quotes for the same site can differ tenfold, one guide notes, mostly because each agency guessed a different scope.

Send the pages you need and which of them share a layout. Say whether you’ll supply the words and photos. List the features: booking, payments, member logins, a second language, a connection to your CRM or accounting software. Add two or three sites you like and why, and a date you need it by. If you’re redesigning an existing site, say so, because old page addresses need redirecting or you lose the search traffic they bring in.

The yearly costs a quote leaves out

Yearly costWhat the guides quote (SGD)
Domain name15 to 50 a year for .com; .sg costs more
Hosting100 to 600 a year for shared hosting
SSL certificateUsually free with hosting
Maintenance and updates50 to 300 a month if you pay someone

One guide worked through a seven-page site for a food business: S$3,500 to build, S$700 for the copy, S$50 for the domain and S$200 for hosting, S$4,450 in the first year. After that, hosting and the domain cost about S$250 to S$500 a year, plus maintenance if you want it.

PSG closed on 29 September 2026

Several guides still tell you the Productivity Solutions Grant can pay up to half. Enterprise Singapore stopped taking new PSG applications on 29 September 2026: “EDG, MRA and PSG will cease on 29 September 2026. From 30 September onwards, apply for business grant support under the EDGE Grant.”

If you planned to use PSG for a website, check what EDGE covers before you commit. Under PSG, a payment or deposit made before you applied disqualified the claim, so don’t pay anything until you’ve checked the new rules.

Lite and Bronze include a year of hosting. Silver and Gold include hosting for the life of the site.

That’s below the ranges most guides quote. Each package caps the hours of work and the revision rounds, so check the cap against your scope. A domain name and copywriting aren’t listed in the packages, so confirm both in your quote.

Questions to ask before you sign

Ask who owns the domain, the hosting account and the website files when the project ends. You should.

Ask what “design” includes: custom layouts or a template, and how many rounds of changes.

Ask what happens after launch: how long support lasts, and what an update costs after that.

Ask whether the price includes the words and photos, or whether you supply them, and by when.
