Ecommerce SEO in Singapore
Get your products found on Google without paying for every click
Rank your product and category pages for the searches shoppers make, on Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom store. A free store audit comes first.
Your orders stop the day the ad budget does
Most store owners who call us are stuck in one of three places.
Ads bring every sale
Shopping ads and social ads bring the orders, and each click costs a bit more than last year. Pause them and the store goes quiet.
A marketplace ranks for your product
Search for something you sell and Shopee, Lazada or a big brand shows up first. Your own product page sits on page three, if it shows up at all.
Traffic, but no extra orders
An agency sent visitors to your blog. Nobody can tell you which of them bought anything.
Search it yourself: where our own pages rank

What is ecommerce SEO?
Ecommerce SEO is the work of getting an online store’s product and category pages into Google’s unpaid results when shoppers search for what you sell. Someone types "linen bedsheets singapore" or "waterproof hiking shoes", and your page is one of the first they see.
It has the same three parts as any SEO: a site Google can read, pages that match the search, and links from other sites. Stores add problems most websites never have. You may have hundreds of near-identical product pages. Filters for size, colour and price can create thousands of extra URLs. Products sell out and come back. Each of those can stop the right page from ranking.
Ecommerce SEO services cover all of that, plus the keyword research that decides which products and categories to push first. Done well, e-commerce SEO turns search engines into a long-term source of online sales for your ecommerce website, alongside your paid advertising.
Product pages, category pages and the technical fixes behind them
Here’s what we work on in your store.
Category pages that rank
Category and collection pages usually win the broad searches, like "office chairs". We rewrite their titles, intros and internal links so Google knows which page to rank.
Product pages that sell
Titles, descriptions, images and alt text written around what shoppers type. Supplier copy gets replaced, because other stores use the same words. More on on-page SEO.
Product schema
Structured data for price, stock and reviews, so Google can show them right in the search results.
Filters and duplicate URLs
Faceted navigation and product variants handled with canonical tags and indexing rules. Filter pages stop crowding out the pages you want ranked.
Speed and crawling
Core Web Vitals, crawl errors and indexing fixed, so Google can reach every product you sell. More on technical SEO.
Content and links
A content strategy of buying guides that answer what shoppers ask, plus off-page SEO: link building and digital PR that point relevant sites at your categories. More on content marketing.
AI shopping answers
Schema and clear product facts, so ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews can name your store. It’s part of every SEO plan.
Our SEO packages for online stores

Every plan includes the technical audit, keyword and competitor research, schema, content, links and AI search work. See the full package details.
How we get a store ranking, step by step
Store audit
We crawl your store and run the checks from our SEO audit: technical health, product and category pages, backlinks and where you rank today.
Keyword research
We find the product and category searches shoppers make, how often they make them and how hard each is to win, as set out on our keyword research page.
Competitor analysis
Which stores and marketplaces rank above you, and the searches they’ve left open.
Technical fixes
Crawl errors, duplicate URLs, filters, speed and schema get fixed first, so the rest of the work counts.
Category and product pages
Each page is rewritten for its searches.
Content, links and reporting
Buying guides, links from relevant sites, and a monthly report on rankings, traffic and orders.
Your own store or the marketplaces?
Most Singapore stores sell on both. They do different jobs.
| Shopee and Lazada | Your own store, found through SEO | |
|---|---|---|
| Who owns the customer | The marketplace | You keep the email, the order history and the repeat sale |
| What each sale costs | Commission and fees on every order | No fee per order, and no cost per click once a page ranks |
| Who you compete with | Every other seller on the same listing, often on price | The stores ranking for your searches |
| Your brand | Shown beside your competitors | Your pages, your photos and your prices |
| Best for | Volume, and shoppers who start in the app | Margin, repeat buyers and people searching your brand |
Keep the marketplace listings if they sell. SEO brings shoppers to the store where you keep more of each order.
When will SEO start bringing orders?
Plan on six months before SEO pays its way. Here’s what you’ll see from your side.
Months 1 and 2
You get the audit, see the technical problems fixed, and agree with us which categories and products to push first.
Months 3 and 4
Rewritten category and product pages go live and buying guides get published. As links start coming in, the easier product searches start to move.
Months 5 and 6
Harder category searches climb toward page one, and orders from organic search start showing up in your report.
After month 6
Most stores see real revenue growth between months six and twelve. Each page that ranks keeps bringing shoppers with no cost per click.
What happens if your keywords don’t reach page one?
Every SEO plan carries one guarantee, measured at month six. Either 10% of your target keywords reach page one, or your organic traffic grows by 20%, and on Gold it’s 15% or 25%. On Silver and Gold, if we miss it, you get three months free.
We won’t promise you #1 for any product. Nobody controls Google’s results, and an agency that promises the top spot is guessing.
How you’ll measure it: orders and revenue from search
Each month your report shows your keyword rankings for priority products and categories, your organic traffic growth, conversion rates by page, and the orders and revenue that traffic brought in.
We connect GA4 ecommerce tracking so sales from search get counted. A specialist then walks you through what moved and what we’ll work on next. You own your store, your Search Console and all the data.
Will SEO work alongside Google Shopping ads?
Yes, and plenty of stores run both. Shopping ads put your products in front of shoppers this week, and they stop when the budget stops. SEO takes months, then keeps bringing shoppers with no cost per click.
If you want both, our Google Ads management runs your Shopping ads, from $250 a month plus your ad budget. Google Merchant Centre setup comes with the Silver plan ($650 a month) and above.
What ecommerce SEO costs, and what you get for it
Ours: $600 to $2,200 a month on a 12-month plan, or from $857 month to month. Where you land depends on how many products and categories you want ranked, how crowded your market is, and what shape the store is in. The free site audit comes first, so the quote is based on your store as it is today.
Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom store: which is best for SEO?
All three can rank well. Each one has its own SEO quirks.
| Shopify | WooCommerce | Magento or custom | |
|---|---|---|---|
| How it runs | Hosted for you, quick to launch | A WordPress plugin on your own hosting | Built to order, with the most control |
| URL structure | Fixed /products/ and /collections/ paths | Fully editable | Fully editable |
| Common SEO problem | Duplicate product URLs through collections | Slow pages and plugin bloat | Depends on the build, often crawling and rendering |
| What decides speed | Your theme and apps | Your hosting, theme and plugins | Your developer |
| Who it suits | Most small and mid-sized stores | Stores already on WordPress, or wanting full control | Large catalogues and complex pricing |
The platform matters less than how the store is set up. Building or moving a store? See ecommerce web development or Shopify development.
What we check on every product and category page
Use it on your own store, page by page.
- A title tag with the product type and the detail shoppers search for, such as size, material or brand
- A unique product description, written for your store instead of copied from the supplier
- Category pages with a short intro and links to the products and subcategories under them
- Product schema for price, availability and reviews, so rich results can show
- Images compressed, with alt text that says what the product is
- One canonical URL for each product, even when it sits in several collections
- Breadcrumbs and internal links from buying guides to the categories they mention
- Out-of-stock and discontinued products handled with a plan, never just deleted
Faceted navigation, duplicate content and crawl budget
Filters help shoppers. Every combination of size, colour, price and sort order can also become its own URL. A store with 500 products can end up with tens of thousands of filter pages that all look alike to Google.
That causes two problems. Google spends its time on pages you don’t care about, which is your crawl budget gone. And the near-duplicates split the signals that should go to one strong category page.
We decide which filter pages deserve to rank, such as "black office chairs", and give those a proper title and intro. The rest get canonical tags or noindex rules, so Google focuses on the pages that sell.
What other Singapore agencies charge for ecommerce SEO
We checked the prices Singapore agencies publish on their own sites. Most don’t publish one.
| Monthly price | What it usually buys | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Under $1,000 | A small keyword set, basic product and category fixes, a monthly report | A small store with a narrow range |
| $1,000 to $3,000 | Technical fixes, category and product content, steady link building | Most growing Singapore stores |
| $3,000 and up | Large catalogues, programmatic pages, several markets | Big retailers and regional brands |
Two agencies put ecommerce SEO at $1,000 to $3,000 a month and a third at $1,500 to $3,000. One says it starts from about $500, and another says established agencies charge $2,500 to $20,000 or more. Prices checked October 2026.
Ecommerce SEO or Google Shopping ads?
They do different jobs, and plenty of stores run both.
| Ecommerce SEO | Google Shopping ads | |
|---|---|---|
| How you pay | A monthly fee for the work | A management fee plus every click |
| How fast it works | Usually a few months before it pays its way | Clicks and orders within days of launch |
| When you stop paying | Rankings fade slowly, over months | The traffic stops the same day |
| Cost per order over time | Tends to fall as rankings build | Tends to rise as other stores bid |
| Best for | Steady sales from your main categories | New products, sales periods and testing what sells |
See our Google Ads management, from $250 a month plus your ad budget, which goes straight to Google.
Why ecommerce SEO matters for Singapore stores
Someone searching "buy standing desk singapore" already wants to buy. Organic search puts your store in front of that high-intent shopper at the moment they’re ready, and you don’t pay for the click.
Paid ads cost the same for every click, every month, and the cost per click keeps rising as more stores bid. A product page that ranks keeps bringing visitors long after the work on it is done, so each month’s SEO adds to the last and the cost per order tends to fall.
It also helps your conversion rate. A store with fast pages, clear product information and reviews in the search results earns more trust before the shopper even clicks.
Ecommerce SEO and AI shopping answers
Shoppers now ask AI what to buy. ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews lean on the same signals as search: product schema, clear facts about price and stock, reviews, and pages that answer real questions.
So the AI search work comes inside every SEO plan, with no second retainer. How AI search works for your business.

Common ecommerce SEO mistakes that cost sales
- Product descriptions copied from the manufacturer, the same as every other store
- Ignoring category pages, which are often a store’s biggest chance to rank
- Letting filters create thousands of crawlable URLs
- Slow, heavy pages that lose shoppers and rankings
- Deleting old products without redirects, which throws away their rankings and links
- No content plan, so the buying-guide searches go to someone else
- Chasing traffic to blog posts that never lead to an order
How to choose an ecommerce SEO agency in Singapore
Questions to ask before you sign with anyone, us included.
- Will you report orders and revenue from organic search, or only rankings?
- Have you worked on my platform, and what’s its biggest SEO problem?
- How will you handle filters, variants and out-of-stock products?
- Can I search your own rankings myself? A live search beats a screenshot.
- What exactly do you guarantee, and by when? Walk away from anyone promising #1.
- How do you build links? Cheap links can get a store penalised.
