Off-page SEO services in Singapore
Paid for backlinks and can’t tell what you got?
Links and mentions from real, relevant sites, earned through outreach and digital PR, and listed in your report every month.
Not sure your current agency is earning you anything?
Most businesses that ask us about off-page SEO are in one of three spots.
Stuck at positions 7 to 10
Your page answers the search well, but the sites above it have years of links and mentions from other websites. Google trusts them more, so they keep the top spots.
Links you can’t see
You paid for backlinks every month and got a number in a report. Nobody showed you the sites, and rankings didn’t move.
Worried about a penalty
Cheap link packages promise dozens of links for a few dollars each. You’ve heard those can get a site penalised, and you don’t know what’s already pointing at yours.
What we do off your site
Off-page SEO is everything that happens on other websites to show Google you can be trusted.
White-hat link building
We pitch relevant sites with something worth linking to: a guide, data or an expert answer. No link farms, no private blog networks, no bought bulk links. More on link building.
Digital PR
Stories and expert comment for news sites and trade magazines your buyers read, which earn editorial links and brand mentions.
Local citations
Your business name, address and phone number listed the same way on the directories that matter for local search. More on local SEO.
Google Business Profile
A complete, active profile with reviews, so you show up on the map for "near me" searches. More on Google Business Profile.
Backlink clean-up
We check the links already pointing at you and disavow or remove the toxic ones.
Brand mentions
Your business named on news and industry sites through digital PR, which builds trust even where there’s no link.
Bad links from a past agency, found and cleaned up
Before we build anything, we audit your backlink profile. A toxic backlink comes from a spammy, irrelevant or manipulative site, and enough of them can drag your rankings down or invite a penalty.
We list the bad ones, ask for removal where we can, and disavow the rest in Google Search Console. Then we start earning links that help.
How we earn links, step by step
Backlink audit
Your current links, referring domains and anchor text, and any toxic links to clean up.
Competitor analysis
Who links to the sites ranking above you, and which of those sites would link to you too.
Targets and pages
We pick the pages that need authority most and the relevant sites worth pitching.
Outreach and digital PR
Personal pitches and guest posts on relevant sites. Stories for journalists.
Citations and profile
Directories and your Google Business Profile kept accurate and consistent.
Report
Every new link and the page it points to.
Every link we earn, listed in your monthly report
Your report lists each new backlink with its source site, so you can click it and check it’s live. Alongside that you’ll see your referring domains, any toxic links found and removed, and how your rankings and organic traffic responded. A specialist walks you through it and tells you what’s next.
Is off-page SEO safe for your site?
Done badly, no. Google’s spam policies treat bought links, link schemes and private blog networks as manipulation, and a site caught using them can lose its rankings.
That’s why we only earn links through outreach, useful content and digital PR, and why we audit your profile regularly for toxic links. Earned links are slower to build, and they keep working after Google’s next update.
Six months in, you’ll have a number to hold us to
Off-page SEO comes in every SEO plan we run, and Silver and Gold carry a guarantee: within six months, 10% of your target keywords reach page one, or organic traffic grows 20% from where we started. Gold raises it to 15% or 25%, and both add three free months if we miss.
Here’s what we won’t promise: a #1 ranking, or a domain authority score for your own site, because nobody controls those.
What off-page SEO costs, and what to avoid at the cheap end
Off-page work is included in every SEO plan, from $600 to $2,200 a month on a 12-month plan. If your on-page and technical SEO are already sorted, a standalone link building plan runs from $250 to $750 a month. Be careful with packages selling dozens of links for a few dollars each: at that price, the links usually come from sites Google ignores or penalises.
What is off-page SEO?
Off-page SEO (also called off-site SEO) is everything done outside your website to improve where you appear in search engines and search results. The biggest part is link building, which means getting other websites to link to yours, and it also covers digital PR, brand mentions across the web, local citations, your Google Business Profile and online reviews.
Google reads a link from a trusted, relevant site as a vote of confidence. The more good votes your pages earn compared with the sites around you, the more authority Google gives them, especially for competitive keywords. Off-page signals also feed E-E-A-T, the experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trust Google looks for.
On-page, off-page and technical SEO
| Off-page SEO | On-page SEO | Technical SEO | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where the work happens | On other websites | On your own pages | Across your site and server |
| Main tasks | Backlinks, digital PR, citations, brand mentions | Content, titles, headings, internal linking | Speed, crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals |
| What it tells Google | That other sites trust you enough to link to you | That this page answers the search well | That the site can be crawled and loads fast |
| Who controls it | Partly other people, which is why it’s hard to fake | You | You and your developer |
A strong page with no authority stalls, and so does authority pointing at a weak page. See on-page SEO and technical SEO for the other two.
Off-page SEO signals, and what each one does
| Signal | What it is | What it does for you |
|---|---|---|
| Backlinks | Links from other websites to yours | The strongest off-page ranking factor; quality and relevance count more than volume |
| Referring domains | How many different sites link to you | Ten links from ten sites count for more than ten from one |
| Anchor text | The clickable words in a link | Tells Google what the page is about; too many exact-match anchors look manipulative |
| Brand mentions | Your name on other sites, with or without a link | Builds trust signals and gives AI tools facts to cite |
| Local citations | Your business listed in directories | Supports local SEO and the map pack |
| Reviews | Ratings on Google and other platforms | Affects who gets chosen on the map, and your online reputation |
Earned links or bought links?
| Earned (what we do) | Bought or bulk links | |
|---|---|---|
| How you get them | Outreach, guest posts on relevant sites and digital PR | Paid placements, link farms, private blog networks |
| Relevance | Sites in your industry or market | Whatever site is selling |
| Risk | Low: within Google’s guidelines | High: link schemes break Google’s spam policies |
| How long they last | Years, and they bring referral traffic | Until Google ignores or penalises them |
| What you see | Every link, in your report | Often a number with no list |
Off-page SEO strategies we use
These are the main off-page SEO strategies. A good plan mixes several, chosen by your market and the sites linking to your competitors.
Guest posts
Useful articles on relevant, high-authority sites in your industry, with a link back to the page it supports.
Content marketing that earns links
Guides, data and tools other sites want to cite, so links come in without asking for each one. Content marketing.
Broken link building
Finding dead links on relevant sites and offering a working page as the replacement.
Unlinked mentions
Pages that already name a brand without linking can often be asked to add the link.
Social media
Shares don’t count as backlinks, but social media marketing puts your content in front of the people who write about your industry. Social media.
Reviews and reputation management
Reviews on your Google Business Profile shape your online reputation and who gets chosen on the map. Google Business Profile.
Why off-page SEO matters for long-term SEO
A competitor can copy your page in an afternoon. They can’t copy years of links from news sites, suppliers and industry bodies. That’s why authority is the part of SEO that lasts longest, and why it often decides who wins the competitive keywords once everyone’s pages are good.
It also makes the rest of your SEO efforts pay off. Keyword research and on-page work get a page into the running; high quality backlinks give it the authority to climb. Building links steadily, month after month, is how most sites in crowded markets get there. As a digital marketing agency that runs SEO campaigns end to end, we plan both together, so the pages getting links are the pages that bring enquiries.

New websites
A clean start: a few relevant links and accurate citations before anything else.
How to choose an off-page SEO agency in Singapore
- Ask to see real examples of links they’ve earned, live on the page.
- Find out how each link is earned. Walk away if the answer involves buying or a network of sites.
- Check that the report lists every link, not a total.
- Get them to explain how they check and clean up toxic links.
- Be wary of anyone who won’t show you where each link was placed.
Common off-page SEO mistakes
- Buying cheap bulk links that look unnatural and invite a penalty
- Buying links from sites that have nothing to do with your business
- Using the same exact-match anchor text again and again
- Ignoring toxic links already in the profile
- One-off bursts of links instead of steady growth
- Inconsistent business details across directories
Off-page SEO and AI search
ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews lean on sources other sites already trust. Mentions and links from respected news and industry sites make your business easier for AI tools to find and cite, which is one more reason to earn them. AI search work is included in every SEO plan, with no second retainer.
