Local SEO in Singapore
When people nearby search for what you sell, do they find you?
Rank in the map results and the local search results for the areas you serve, and see the calls it brings each month.
Search for what you sell near you. Are you on the map?
Most owners who call us about local SEO have one of these three problems.
You’re fourth on the map
For most local searches Google shows a map with three businesses. Everyone else sits behind a "more places" link.
Your profile looks abandoned
Old photos, missing hours, no reply to last month’s review. People compare profiles before they call, and the busier one usually wins.
You can’t tell what it brings
You get a ranking report. Nobody tells you how many people called, visited or asked for directions because of it.
Search it yourself: where we rank for local SEO in Singapore
This is where our own pages sat on Google Singapore on 28 October 2026. The first row is this page.
“local seo singapore”
#1 on Google Singapore: digitalmarketingagency.sg/local-seo. Search it yourself.
“digital marketing agency”
#1 on Google Singapore: digitalmarketingagency.sg. Search it yourself.
Across the whole site we rank for 589 Singapore keywords, 222 of them in the top 10 (DataForSEO, September 2026). We do the same work on your profile and your site.
What is local SEO, and how does Google pick the three on the map?
Local SEO is the work that gets your business into Google Maps and the local results when someone nearby searches for what you sell. Think "dentist near me", "aircon servicing Tampines" or "cafe Tanjong Pagar". Those people usually want to call, visit or book soon.
Google says it plainly: "Local results are mainly based on relevance, distance, and popularity." Relevance is how well your Google Business Profile and website match the search. Distance is how far you are from the person searching, which you can’t change. Popularity, which Google also calls prominence, comes from your reviews, the sites that link to you and how well known you are.
Google also says: "There’s no way to request or pay for a better local ranking on Google." So local SEO is the slow, honest work on relevance and prominence: a complete profile, steady reviews, consistent business details across the web, and pages that prove you serve the area.
What your local SEO plan covers
The full list, so you can compare it with any other quote.
- A local audit at the start, with competitor analysis of the three businesses above you on the map
- Local keyword research: the location-based searches and search intent behind them, such as "near me" and estate names
- Google Business Profile optimisation: categories, services, hours, photos, products and description
- Regular posts and offers on your profile, so it stays active
- Help asking customers for genuine reviews, and a reply to every review
- Local citations and NAP consistency: your name, address and phone number the same across Singapore directories
- Reputation management: review monitoring and replies, so one bad review doesn’t sit there unanswered
- Location-specific pages and local content on your website for each area you serve, planned in a content strategy you agree
- Schema markup (LocalBusiness structured data) and the technical fixes that help the search engine read your site
- Local links from Singapore sites, partners and associations
- Map rank tracking for your main searches, by area
- Everything in our SEO plans, including AI search work (GEO and AEO)
- A monthly report on rankings, calls, direction requests and enquiries
More reviews, and a reply to every one
Reviews do two jobs. Google counts how many you have and how good they are, and people read them before they call. A business with 15 reviews from last year looks quieter than one with 80 from this month.
We help you ask every happy customer for a review, and we reply to every review, good or bad. We never buy reviews or write fake ones, because Google removes them and can suspend the profile.
Our local SEO packages
Four plans on a 12-month term. Each one is a full SEO plan with the map work added.
| Plan | Monthly price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Lite | $700 | One outlet or one service area getting started |
| Bronze | $1,000 | A single location in a busier category |
| Silver | $1,500 | Crowded categories like clinics, F&B and home services |
| Gold | $2,400 | Several outlets, or the most competitive local searches |
Shorter terms cost more: 14% more on a six-month plan, 29% more quarterly and 43% more month to month. Only need the website side? Our SEO plans start at $600 a month. See the full package details.
Our local SEO process, step by step
Local audit
We check your profile, reviews, citations and website against the three businesses that beat you on the map.
Fix the profile
Categories, services, hours, photos and description filled in properly, and verification sorted if it’s stuck.
Clean up citations
Your name, address and phone made the same everywhere, so Google trusts the details.
Build local pages
A page for each area or service you want to rank for, with real details people can use.
Grow reviews and links
A steady flow of new reviews, replies to every one, and links from local sites.
Track and report
Map positions by area, calls, direction requests and enquiries, every month.
What the first six months look like
Profile and citation fixes can lift your visibility within weeks. Reviews, links and pages build up over months.
Month 1
The audit, the profile fixed, and the searches we’ll track agreed with you.
Months 2 and 3
Citations cleaned up, location pages live, and review requests going out to your customers.
Months 4 and 5
More reviews and local links, and the map positions for your easier searches start to move.
Month 6
Your report shows where you rank by area, and how many calls and direction requests came from Google.
One guarantee, with numbers in it
Our Silver and Gold SEO plans carry one guarantee. Within six months, 10% of your target keywords reach page one, or your organic traffic grows by 20%. Gold raises it to 15% or 25%, and if we miss it, you get three months free.
We won’t promise you a top-three spot on the map. Google decides that partly on how close the searcher is to you, and nobody controls that. Anyone who guarantees a map position is guessing.
See how many people called, visited or asked for directions
Each month you get one short report. It shows where you rank on the map in each area you serve, how many people called you from your profile, how many asked for directions, and how many enquiries came from your website.
A specialist walks you through it and tells you what we’ll work on next month. You own your Google Business Profile, your website and all the data. If you leave, it all stays with you.
How much does local SEO cost in Singapore?
Ours: $700 to $2,400 a month on a 12-month plan. Where you land depends on how crowded your category is, how many outlets you have and how much work your profile needs. The free audit comes first, so the quote is based on what we find.
Local SEO or regular SEO: which do you need?
They use the same skills, aimed at different searches. Plenty of businesses need both.
| Local SEO | Regular SEO | |
|---|---|---|
| Who it reaches | People near you, or in the areas you serve | Anyone in Singapore searching for what you sell |
| Where you show up | Google Maps, the map pack and local results | Google’s ordinary results |
| What moves it | Your Google Business Profile, reviews, citations and local pages | Content, technical fixes and links to your site |
| Typical searches | "physio near me", "tuition centre Bishan" | "corporate secretarial services", "buy office chairs" |
| Best for | Clinics, F&B, salons, gyms, tuition and home services | E-commerce, B2B and island-wide services |
| Our price | From $700 a month | From $600 a month |
If customers come to you, or you go to them in set areas, start with local SEO. If you sell to all of Singapore, start with SEO services. Both plans include the website work.
What drives your ranking on the map, and what you can change
| Factor | What Google looks at | What we do about it |
|---|---|---|
| Relevance | How well your profile and site match the search | The right categories and services, a full description, and a page for each service |
| Distance | How far you are from the searcher | Nothing changes this, so we make sure you rank well in the areas you really serve |
| Prominence | Reviews, links and how well known you are | A steady flow of reviews, replies to each one, local links and consistent citations |
| Activity | Whether the profile looks looked-after | Regular posts, fresh photos and answers to questions |
| Your website | Whether your pages back up the profile | Location pages, LocalBusiness schema and a fast mobile site |

What local SEO costs in Singapore
We checked the prices Singapore agencies publish on their own sites. Most don’t publish a local SEO price at all.
| Monthly price | What it usually buys | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Under $800 | Profile setup, a few citations, a short report | One outlet in a quiet category |
| $800 to $1,500 | Profile management, reviews, citations and some location pages | Most single-location SMEs |
| $1,500 to $3,000 | All of that, plus website content and local links every month | Clinics, F&B and home services in crowded categories |
| $3,000 and up | Several outlets, many areas and a bigger team | Chains and multi-outlet brands |
Published local SEO packages we found started at S$599 a month and, for a single location, at $2,300 a month. One agency’s guide puts Singapore agency retainers at $1,000 to $4,000 a month and freelancers at $200 to $800. Prices checked October 2026.
Shop, service area or several outlets?
| Your business | How the profile is set up | What we focus on |
|---|---|---|
| One shop or clinic | Your address shown on the map | The searches within a few kilometres of you, and reviews |
| Service-area business | Address hidden, service areas listed | A page for each area you cover, and ranking where your jobs are |
| Several outlets | One profile per outlet | Consistent details, a page per outlet and reviews for each one |
Why local SEO matters for Singapore businesses
Local searches are high intent. Someone typing "physio near me" on their phone usually wants to book this week, so the businesses on the map and the first page of the local results get most of those potential customers.
Local SEO puts your online presence where those people look. Better search visibility on the map brings calls, direction requests and website traffic you don’t pay for per click, and once you rank higher in your area, the reviews and links behind that position keep working.
For a clinic, a tuition centre or a renovation firm, that steady flow of nearby enquiries is often the cheapest source of new customers they have.
Local SEO or Google Ads?
Both can put you in front of people nearby. They work differently.
| Local SEO | Google Ads | |
|---|---|---|
| How you pay | A monthly fee for the work | A management fee plus a cost per click |
| How fast | Weeks for profile fixes, months for the rest | Days after launch |
| When you stop | Rankings fade slowly | The clicks stop that day |
| Where you show up | The map pack and local results | Ad slots above the results and on the map |
| Best for | Steady local enquiries over time | New outlets, promotions and landing pages for one offer |
Many local businesses run both while the SEO campaign builds. See our Google Ads management, from $250 a month plus your ad budget.
Who works on your Singapore local SEO
D’Marketing Agency is a Singapore digital marketing agency in Tampines, founded by Leo Tan and an SME500 Singapore award winner in 2023. Your local SEO strategy is planned and run by our SEO team here, next to the people who build websites and run content marketing, social media and ads.
You’ll have one SEO consultant who knows your profile and your areas, writes your monthly report and walks you through it. Our SEO case studies set out what we changed for clients and what happened to their search rankings next.
Local SEO across Singapore neighbourhoods
Singapore is small, but local search here is very local. People search by estate, by MRT station and by street: "dental clinic Punggol", "hair salon near Bugis MRT", "aircon servicing Jurong West". A clinic in Tampines rarely shows up on the map for someone searching in Clementi.
So we pick the areas you really serve, build a page for each one with real details (address, opening hours, how to get there, the services offered there), and track your map position area by area. That way you can see where you’re winning and where to push next.
Local search and AI answers
More people now ask Google’s AI Overviews or ChatGPT for a recommendation, such as "a good physio near Toa Payoh". These tools lean on the same signals as the map: a complete profile, consistent details across the web, reviews and clear pages about what you do and where.
That’s why AI search work is included in every SEO plan, local plans too. You don’t pay a second retainer for it. How AI search works for your business.

Why good businesses stay off the map
The mistakes we see most in Singapore local search.
- A half-finished Google Business Profile: wrong category, missing hours, no services listed
- Different names, addresses or phone numbers on different directories
- Never asking for reviews, or asking all at once and then stopping
- Leaving bad reviews unanswered
- One homepage trying to rank for every area, with no location pages
- A slow mobile site that loses people the moment they tap through
- Buying fake reviews, which can get the profile suspended
- Setting it up once and never touching it again
How to choose a local SEO agency in Singapore
Questions to ask before you sign with anyone, us included.
- Can I search your rankings myself? A live Google search beats a screenshot.
- Will you report calls and direction requests, or only rankings?
- Do you manage reviews and the profile, or only the website?
- Whose name is the profile in? It should be yours.
- What exactly do you guarantee? Walk away from anyone promising a map position.
- How do you get reviews? Any answer that involves buying them is a no.
Local SEO terms, in plain English
- Map pack (or local pack): the three businesses Google shows on a map for a local search
- Google Business Profile: your free listing on Google Search and Maps, once called Google My Business
- NAP: your business name, address and phone number, which should match everywhere
- Citation: any mention of your NAP on another site, such as a directory
- Service-area business: a business that goes to its customers and hides its address
- LocalBusiness schema: code that tells search engines your address, hours and services
- Prominence: how well known Google thinks you are, from reviews, links and mentions
