If your team retypes the same job into three systems, n8n can take it over from about S$34 a month on its cloud Starter plan, as n8n’s pricing page showed on 2 November 2026. The plan is the small part of the bill. The hours to build and look after a workflow are the big part.

This guide prices both. You’ll see every n8n plan in Singapore dollars, one quote-to-invoice workflow costed for its first year, what self-hosting costs once someone has to update it, and what breaks after launch. Every figure has its source and date.

n8n’s pricing page shows euros when you open it from Singapore. We converted at the European Central Bank’s reference rate for 30 October 2026, EUR 1 = S$1.4282, and rounded to the dollar.

Every plan includes unlimited users and workflows. What you pay for is runs, which n8n calls executions. One execution is one run of a whole workflow, however many steps it has.

A workflow that starts when a customer accepts a quote runs once per quote. Two hundred quotes a month is 200 executions. Schedules use far more: n8n’s own example puts a flow that runs every 5 minutes at about 8,600 to 8,900 a month, which needs Pro.

A chatbot counts the conversations in a week times the messages in each. If it’s on WhatsApp, Meta’s message fees come on top, and our WhatsApp API pricing guide lists them. For n8n next to Zapier and Make, see our productivity tools list.

Worked example: what one quote-to-invoice workflow costs in its first year

A customer accepts a quote. The job details go to your job sheet, and the invoice is created in your accounts software or CRM. The flow runs once per quote, so n8n Starter covers it: EUR 288 for the year billed monthly, about S$411.

The rest is hours. We price staff time at S$22 an hour, the median gross pay of an operations officer (administrative) in Singapore (S$4,160 a month, MOM, June 2025) over a 44-hour week, before bonus and employer CPF. We’ve assumed 2 hours a month to keep the flow running if your team looks after it.

TotalS$1,379S$2,259S$1,839, or S$3,111 with monitoring

Two things decide it. First, how long your team needs to learn n8n and build the flow. Second, whether anyone will watch it once it’s live. The next two sections are about the second one.

What self-hosting n8n really costs once someone has to update it

The Community Edition is free to licence. You still need a server, and here are two hosting providers’ list prices, read on their own pricing pages on 2 November 2026 and converted at the same ECB rates (US$1 = S$1.2784):

ServerPrice a monthWith automatic backups
DigitalOcean Basic, 1 vCPU, 2 GB memoryUS$12 (S$15)S$18, weekly backups add 20%
DigitalOcean Basic, 2 vCPUs, 4 GB memoryUS$24 (S$31)S$37
Vultr Regular Performance, 1 vCPU, 2 GB memoryUS$10 (S$13)S$15, backups add 20%
Vultr Regular Performance, 2 vCPUs, 4 GB memoryUS$20 (S$26)S$31

Vultr says some data centre locations are priced differently, so check its Singapore price before you order.

n8n’s release notes list six releases in October 2026. The last, n8n 3.0 on 27 October, is a major version with breaking changes, and n8n asks you to run its migration tool before you upgrade. Someone reads the notes, takes a backup, updates and checks every flow. At 2 hours a month and S$22 an hour, that’s S$44.

Add the server and self-hosting is about S$59 to S$81 a month. Starter in n8n’s cloud is S$34. Self-host when you’d otherwise need Pro or Business, or when someone on your team already runs servers.

What breaks after launch, how often, and who notices

A workflow keeps running only while every login and app it touches stays the same. Three things change on a schedule you can look up:

  • Logins expire. Xero’s developer documentation says refresh tokens expire after 60 days. A flow that runs often renews its token. One that sits idle for two months, say over a slow season, needs someone to sign in again.
  • Google connections can drop every week. Set up your own Google connection, leave its consent screen in testing, and Google’s documentation says the refresh token expires in 7 days.
  • n8n changes. Six releases in October 2026, one with breaking changes.

n8n includes error workflows on every cloud plan, so a failed run can alert you. Someone has to set that up and read it. If nobody does, the first sign is a customer asking where their invoice is.

Our workflows are built to fail loudly: an alert fires when a step fails, and every run is logged. With monitoring and fixes at S$150 a month, a broken step is ours to fix. You run the business. We watch the runs.

The decision rule: build it yourself or pay someone to build it

S$900 is about 41 hours of staff time at S$22 an hour. If someone on your team can learn n8n, build the flow, test it and own it in under 41 hours, build it yourself. If not, the build is cheaper with us.

Monitoring is a separate call. At S$150 a month it costs more than 2 hours of your own time. Take it if a stuck invoice costs you more than that, or if nobody on your team will read the alerts. Either way you pay for your own n8n or Make plan, so the account stays in your name.

Your n8n pricing questions, answered

Is n8n free for a business?

Yes, if you self-host. The Community Edition is free, and you pay for the server: S$15 to S$37 a month on the prices above, plus the hours to keep it updated.

How much is n8n Cloud in Singapore dollars?

Starter is about S$34 a month billed monthly, or S$29 a month billed yearly, for 2,500 executions. Pro is about S$86 a month for 10,000. Both are euro prices converted at the ECB rate for 30 October 2026.

What counts as an execution in n8n?

One run of a whole workflow, however many steps it has. A flow on a 5-minute schedule uses about 8,600 to 8,900 executions a month.

Is self-hosting n8n cheaper than n8n Cloud?

Not for a small team once you count time. The smallest server with backups plus 2 hours a month of staff time is about S$59 a month, against S$34 for Starter.

What does the free Community Edition leave out?

Sharing, mainly. n8n’s documentation says only the instance owner and the person who created a workflow can open it and its logins. SSO, Git version control and separate test and live environments are paid features too.

Can n8n run on a server in Singapore?

Yes, if you self-host. DigitalOcean lists Singapore among its data centre regions.

Is there a discount for small companies?

Two. Paying yearly saves 17% by n8n’s own count, and companies with fewer than 20 employees can apply for n8n’s Startup plan, which takes 50% off Business.

Who pays for the n8n plan if you build my workflow?

You do, on your own plan, so the account and the workflows stay in your name.

Do you build on n8n or Make?

Both. We use whichever one connects the tools you already run.

When to move from doing it yourself to paying for the build

Start with the one workflow that saves the most hours. Our workflow automation page shows what a build looks like, and our chatbot and workflow pricing page has the full card, next to the website chatbot.

Workflows sit with our other AI systems: a WhatsApp AI agent that answers new enquiries, and lead follow-up in a CRM. We also run the SEO and Google Ads that bring those enquiries in. Not sure which job to automate first? Our AI consulting and training ends with a written plan ranked by hours saved.

On a free 30-minute call we list the tools you run and find the workflow that pays back fastest. You get a quote only if we can help.
