See the agent answer real enquiries, not a demo chat
Real enquiries on our own line, step by step. Then the test we ran on 127 chats to the same line.
Step 1 of 5: Reply
A 10pm enquiry, answered that night
The chat came in at 10.38pm. Our automatic greeting went out 34 seconds later. When they said what they wanted, the agent answered in under a minute. Our team picked the chat up from there.
Step 2 of 5: Qualify
Before it suggests anything, the agent asks what our team would ask. In this chat, that was whether it’s for a business or a personal account, and which platform. Only then did it suggest a plan and send our portfolio.
Step 3 of 5: Book
A call booked at night, confirmed in the chat
On our line, people book the call on our booking page, from the website or from a link in the chat. The chat then confirms the day, the time and where to find the Zoom link. A few minutes later it repeats the details they gave us, so they can fix anything before the call.
On the Growth and Scale plans, the agent can also offer free times from your calendar and book one in the chat. Reminders go out that morning and 2 hours before.
Step 4 of 5: Keep sellers out
Stop wasting time on sellers and job seekers
On our line, more than half of all new chats aren’t from buyers: agencies pitching SEO, people selling backlinks, job seekers and spam. The agent reads who’s writing before it answers. Anyone who isn’t a customer gets one polite line, and the chat closes, so nobody on the team has to read it.
Step 5 of 5: Hand over
Handing over to your team, with the full thread
When someone asks something the price list and FAQs don’t answer, or asks for a person, the agent hands the chat to the team. Whoever picks it up reads the whole conversation first, so the customer doesn’t have to start again.
We tested it on 127 chats to our own WhatsApp
On 22 September 2026 we tested the lead check on 127 new chats that had reached our own line.
First we read every chat ourselves and marked it one of two ways. A genuine lead was someone asking us to do marketing work for their business, or an agency asking us to do work for its clients. Asking about prices, packages or a call counted. Everyone else was not a lead: people selling to us (guest posts, backlinks, outsourcing, software), job seekers, and spam. That gave 52 genuine leads and 73 non-leads (35 sellers, 17 job seekers, 9 spam, 12 others). We couldn’t call the last 2 either way.
Then the lead check read the same chats, without our labels. Here’s how it did.
- Genuine leads turned away: none of the 52.
- Non-buyers kept out: 67 of 73.
- Sellers who got through: 6. They opened like an enquiry, with a question, a request or a compliment about our work. One asked whether we ever outsource our video editing. In the test, those six would have reached our team as possible leads.
- Genuine leads held back: 2. Neither said in writing what they wanted. One sent only the ready-made line from our website’s WhatsApp button, the other a greeting and a time for a call. The check waited for more before passing them on.
We’d rather show a seller to the team now and then than turn a customer away, so that’s the side it errs on.
Our promise, and how we check it
The agent replies to new enquiries within a minute, 24/7. From 1 November 2026, a report on the first of every month counts each new chat on each line we run and how fast its first reply came. When a line falls short, we fix it.
